Bakery in the London with a fleet of 100 vehicles which delivers baked products to cafés and shops within 10 miles of the central kitchen. I need to transition away from my fleet of diesel vehicles to become ULEZ compliant and reduce my carbon footprint.
Some of my existing vehicles are on lease, some I’ve purchased. I’ve recently leased 2 ULEZ compliant vehicles and I’ve seen how these meet my needs and enable me to reduce my daily ULEZ fees. However, I’m having difficulty in understanding how to scale the purchase and charging of these vehicles if I had to replace all 100 of my fleet.
How and when to replace and upgrade is confusing along with the economics of making this viable for me business to survive.
Issues
· Don’t have time to investigate all the variously options to replace my vehicles.
· Unclear how much it’s going to cost me to transition to a new fleet.
· Not sure if it’s going to cost beneficial.
· Not sure on what grants or savings to assist me in this transition.
· I understand servicing and maintenance could be lower, but my insurance cost will increase.
